What Asciimood knows about you.

The plugin

Asciimood runs inside Claude Code on your computer. The animations are drawn there. It does not read your files, and it never sends your code, your prompts or Claude's output anywhere.

The first time it runs, the plugin makes itself a random id (a UUID). It is not tied to your name, your email or your machine. The plugin uses it to read your animation picks from asciimood.com and, if you bought Pro, to fetch the Pro animations.

Your setup

When you pick animations on the setup page, asciimood.com stores those picks under the random id: which animation plays for which state, and whether tool calls are folded. Nothing else. A setup is deleted automatically 400 days after it was last saved. Your browser also remembers the id locally, so the setup page reopens linked to your Claude Code.

Asciimood Pro

Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record: Polar collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card. To send your license key, we receive your email address from Polar and send one welcome email from contact@asciimood.com. We do not keep a list of buyers' emails and we do not send newsletters.

When you activate a key, we store it with the random id of the device it was activated on, so that device gets the Pro animations. It is checked with Polar about once a week, so a refunded key stops working.

The website

asciimood.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect it.

Your rights

You can delete your setup at any time by uninstalling the plugin and letting it expire, or by asking us. For anything about your data, including access or deletion under the GDPR, write to contact@asciimood.com.
